Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: October 2, 2026
This policy is part of the Leap Terms of Service. It applies to everything you make with Leap, in the studio, through the API and through the MCP server, and to everything you upload. If you build on the API, it applies to your users too.
1. Use Leap lawfully
By using Leap you agree that you will not:
- Upload or prompt with content you do not have the rights to use, including copyrighted material you don’t own or have permission to use, or other people’s personal data without a lawful basis.
- Use the Service for anything illegal, including fraud, harassment, defamation, or making content that violates applicable law.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the Service, scrape it at scale, or circumvent rate limits or credit metering.
- Resell or share access to Leap itself, such as your API keys, without our written permission. Building your own product on the API is allowed.
2. Photos of people
You may upload a photo only if everyone in it is one of these:
- you;
- another adult (18 or older) who has clearly agreed that you can upload their photo and use the result;
- a person you created with AI.
Photos of pets and objects are fine. You must also have the right to use the photo itself, for example because you took it or its owner allowed you to.
3. What you must never make or upload
Never upload a photo, write a prompt, or try to make a result that:
- shows anyone under 18 in a photo you upload, for any reason;
- is sexual or sexually suggestive and involves anyone under 18, real or made up;
- contains nudity, sexual or sexually suggestive content of anyone;
- is an intimate image of a real person made or shared without their consent;
- shows a real person who has not agreed, including celebrities, politicians, election candidates and other public figures;
- impersonates someone, or is meant to make people believe a real person said or did something they did not;
- is a fake or altered identity document, or is meant to get past an identity or age check;
- is violent, hateful, harassing, or illegal where you live or where you share it.
Do not try to get around a model’s safety rules or our limits, for example by editing a photo to hide who or what is in it, or by trying many versions of a refused request.
4. Sharing results
Results may carry labels or metadata that mark them as made with AI. Do not remove or hide these to present a result as a real, unedited photo or video. When you share a result, follow the rules of the place you share it, including any rule to label AI content.
5. What happens when someone breaks these rules
We may remove a result, refuse a request, turn off a preset or suspend an account if we believe it breaks these rules. Breaking them can lead to deleted results and a closed account, without a refund where the law allows. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly break these rules or infringe other people’s rights.
We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement.
6. Takedown requests
Anyone, including people without a Leap account, can ask us to remove a result that shows them without permission, is sexual, shows a minor, impersonates someone, or infringes their rights, including copyright.
Email support@mail.tryleap.ai with the subject “Takedown request”. Please include:
- the link to the result, or enough detail for us to find it;
- why it should be removed and your connection to it, for example that you are the person shown;
- how we can contact you;
- for intimate images shared without consent: your name as a signature (typed is fine) and a statement that you believe in good faith the image was published without consent.
We review requests within 48 hours. We remove intimate images published without consent, and any copies we know of, within 48 hours of a valid request. We may ask for more information, and we may tell the person who made the result that it was removed.
